Job Description

We have an exciting opportunity for a Quality Assurance Manager to join our team in Poppintree, Dublin. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring food safety, quality, and compliance with legal, industry, and customer standards.

The role involves maintaining and improving robust food safety systems, coordinating with regulatory authorities, overseeing internal and external audits, leading the development and review of the site's HACCP plan, and managing non-conformance investigations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and standards by maintaining and improving robust food safety systems.
  • Coordinate with Regulatory Authorities (such as BRC, FSAI, DAFM) for legal compliance.
  • Oversee internal and external audits, ensuring full readiness for regulatory and customer inspections.
  • Lead the development, implementation, and review of the site's HACCP plan.
  • Manage non-conformance investigations, root cause analysis, and implementation of preventive measures.
Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A 3rd level degree in food science, food technology, or similar.
  • A minimum of 5 years' experience working in a Technical role within Food Manufacturing is essential and ideally at management level.
  • Solid understanding of the Meat Industry and its equipment and services.
  • Flexibility (The site is operating 24/7).
  • Excellent management and communication skills.
