Job Title: Production Shift Leader

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Production Shift Leader to join our team. The successful candidate will support the production process in taking responsibility for the effective and efficient operation of a 24/7 milk processing site.

  • Support the production process in ensuring the manufacture of products to the highest standards in the safest, most cost-effective and efficient manner.
  • Fully utilize and harness the production team's capability through effective leadership, processes that are consistently applied and accurately measured against business objectives.
  • Day-to-day management of production operatives on the shift rotation.
  • Identify and implement process improvements in conjunction with key stakeholders.
  • Ensure strict adherence to all health and safety policies and procedures.
  • Maintain and drive quality standards in process, people, and product.
  • Capacity planning for existing and future products.
  • Identify and implement lean initiatives.
  • Contribute to the culture of continuous improvement.
  • Report and communicate effectively with senior management on an ongoing basis.
Requirements:
  • Experience in a production role in a food processing environment is a distinct advantage.
  • A food science or process engineering qualification or equivalent is desirable.
  • Possess excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, thriving in a fast-paced environment.
  • Appetite to drive safety improvements.
  • IT and report writing skills.
  • High standards of systems compliance.
