Job Title: Chief Mechanical Design Lead

Description:

The Chief Mechanical Design Lead will oversee the design and technical services on various project types.

  • Lead the Mechanical Services design for a range of projects, ensuring compliance with industry standards and best practices.
  • Develop and implement mechanical design standards within the organisation, promoting consistency and efficiency.
  • Provide guidance and mentorship to junior engineering staff, fostering their growth and development.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop project scopes, budgets, and reports for clients.
  • Oversee the production of detailed schematics, tender packages, and installation/quality monitoring until project completion.
  • Tender report analysis and recommendations.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical or Building Services Engineering.
  • Minimum 10+ years of Mechanical Building Services Consultancy Design experience.
  • Chartered status is advantageous.
  • Proficient in Revit, AutoCAD, and Microsoft Office.
  • Familiarity with structural, architectural, and electrical models.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with internal and external clients.
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced environment driven by project deadlines.
  • Innovative and motivated individual with attention to detail.

Standards and Compliance:

  • Awareness of ETCI, CIBSE, IEC, BS, IS, and EN Standards.
