Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Engineering Team Leader to lead our mechanical design function and drive design and manufacturing innovation. The successful candidate will own the mechanical design process from concept development to customer delivery, ensuring on-plan project delivery and developing comprehensive design solutions aligned with customer requirements.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversight of mechanical design function with a focus on class-leading design and manufacturability.
  • Driving design and manufacturing innovation by evaluating new technologies, materials, and design methodologies to enhance product performance and reliability.
  • Concept development to customer delivery to ensure on-plan project delivery.
  • Design for manufacturing and transfer to production, ensuring certainty of execution timelines.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in mechanical engineering, or equivalent.
  • At least 3 years (5+ preferred) of experience in mechanical design.
  • Strong design and mechanical intuition, attention to detail, and problem-solving ability.
  • Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles and design for manufacturing and assembly.
  • Team management experience is a plus but not essential.
Skills and Qualifications:
  • Design qualification and acceptance testing at various phases of the development and release cycle.
  • Design validation and thermal simulation setup and execution.
  • Facilitating project teams meetings, communication, and decision making.
  • Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Strong technical writing and presentation skills.
