Senior Mechanical Design Engineer Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Senior Mechanical Design Engineer to join our team. This is a fantastic opportunity to contribute to the development of innovative mechanical systems in a dynamic engineering environment.

Role Overview:

This position involves applying mechanical engineering expertise to the design and development of machinery and equipment, including mechanical systems, fluid dynamics, hydraulics, and structural components. The role requires a hands-on approach to engineering calculations, component selection, and mechanical system design.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Designing and developing mechanical systems, covering thermofluid, hydraulic, and structural components.
  • Conducting engineering calculations, component sizing, and overall machine design.
  • Producing detailed CAD drawings, BOMs, schematics, and supporting documentation.
  • Leading concept development, system design, component selection, testing, validation, and prototyping.
  • Ensuring compliance with industry standards, including ISO 9001 and CE marking for certification.
  • Identifying and managing manufacturing and supply chain partners globally.
  • Creating technical documentation, including manuals and reports.
  • Providing technical guidance to team members and actively participating in design discussions.
  • Assisting with workshop assembly and prototype builds as required.

Ideal Candidate Profile:

  • Masters degree (ME/MSc) in Mechanical, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • Over 10 years of experience in mechanical system design, particularly in machinery, engines, heat pumps, or similar applications.
  • Experience in the automotive or heavy engineering industries.
  • Strong background in hydraulic systems design.
  • Proficiency in SolidWorks (PDM experience is a plus but not essential).
