Job Description

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented individual to fill the role of Evening Steward. This part-time position is based on 18 hours per week and requires the successful candidate to work Tuesday to Friday from 14:45 to 21:15.

The Evening Steward will be responsible for various tasks, including responding to queries from staff and visitors, supporting events, meeting room arrangements, and removal of discarded materials. They will also be expected to ensure that basic facilities such as water and heating are well-maintained, monitor and escalate issues with mechanical and electrical services, and undertake other tasks assigned by management.

  • Respond and action planned reactive building repairs and respond to queries from staff and visitors.
  • Supporting events, meeting room arrangements and removal of discarded materials.
  • Ensuring that basic facilities, such as water and heating, are well-maintained.
  • Be able to monitor and escalate issues that may arise with mechanical and electrical services (fire alarm, plumbing, HVAC systems)
  • Office and churn management, relocation of furniture as well as meeting and event room set ups.
  • Taking ownership and be accountable for all aspects of above stated role
  • Responding appropriately to emergencies or urgent issues as they arise including Fire alarms.
  • Meets and greets visitors at reception and direct them accordingly.
  • Point of contact for client related queries, directs to relevant person for attention
  • Be ready to undertake any other task and project assigned to you
Requirements

The ideal candidate will possess excellent interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills, with a personal presentation of a high standard. They should also have front of house reception experience, ability to work on own initiative, and effectively meet deadlines.
