Speech and Language Therapist Opportunity

This is an exciting opportunity for a Speech and Language Therapist to join a team supporting children and young people with complex needs. The role involves delivering high-quality speech and language therapy services as part of an interdisciplinary team, in line with national disability service frameworks.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide clinical speech and language assessment, diagnosis, and intervention for children and young people.
  • Work collaboratively within an interdisciplinary team to create and deliver individualized care plans.
  • Deliver services in diverse settings including homes, educational facilities, and community environments.
  • Conduct assessments as part of statutory requirements such as the Assessment of Need process
  • Maintain accurate and timely clinical records and reports.
  • Contribute to service development initiatives and quality improvement efforts.
  • Prescribe and monitor communication and therapeutic equipment tailored to each child's specific needs.
  • Support family-centered practice by engaging and empowering caregivers in the therapy process.
Essential Requirements:
  • Registration (or eligibility for registration) with the Speech and Language Therapists Registration Board at CORU.
  • Minimum of three years' full-time (or equivalent) post-qualification clinical experience.
  • Demonstrated professional competence and clinical expertise relevant to this role.
  • Proof of statutory registration with CORU prior to commencement of employment.
  • Ongoing maintenance of annual CORU registration throughout employment.
  • Full driver's license and access to own transport.
