Key Responsibilities:
  • Anaesthetic Management: Deliver safe and effective anaesthesia care for elective and emergency surgeries across multiple specialties.
  • Pre-Operative Assessment: Participate in pre-assessment clinics and optimise patients prior to procedures.
  • Intraoperative Monitoring: Administer anaesthesia and monitor patient status throughout surgical procedures.
  • Post-Anaesthesia Care: Provide post-operative care, including pain management and recovery monitoring.
  • Critical Care Support: Contribute to critical care services where applicable, including emergency airway management.
  • Multidisciplinary Collaboration: Work closely with surgical teams, fellow anaesthetists, theatre nurses, and ICU staff.
  • On-Call Duties: Participate in the anaesthetics on-call rota, including emergency theatre and resuscitation support.
  • Documentation: Maintain clear, accurate records and comply with all hospital documentation and safety protocols.

Requirements include full registration with the Irish Medical Council (General Division), minimum 1 year of experience working as an Anaesthetic Registrar, and work eligibility in Ireland.
