Job Title: Senior Health and Safety Specialist

Leading Compliance with HSE Standards

We are seeking an experienced and proactive Health & Safety professional to lead compliance with all Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) standards while fostering a strong prevention-focused safety culture across multiple construction, pharmaceutical, and industrial insulation projects nationwide.

The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of HSE regulations and best practices, as well as excellent communication and leadership skills.

The successful candidate will be responsible for leading site audits, inspections, and statutory checks for equipment, work areas, and high-risk activities.

Maintaining accurate records and ensuring regulatory adherence is also a critical aspect of this role.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead and document site audits, inspections, and statutory checks for equipment, work areas, and high-risk activities.
  • Maintain all EHS documentation, permits, and compliance records to ensure regulatory adherence.
  • Enforce Safe Work Method Statements (SWMS), Risk Assessments, and Permit to Work systems.
  • Monitor and supervise safe work practices, including working at heights, confined space entry, hot works, and handling of insulation materials.
Requirements:
  • Third-level qualification in Environmental Health & Safety, Occupational Health, or a related discipline (Honours degree preferred).
  • Minimum 5 years on-site safety experience in construction, pharmaceutical, or industrial sectors.
  • Safe Pass and Manual Handling certifications (required).
  • Strong working knowledge of Irish health & safety legislation and industry regulations.
