Job Title: Engineering Specialist Aircraft Systems

The role involves providing engineering services for aircraft systems, ensuring the airworthiness of Aer Lingus aircraft.

  • This includes management and assessment of Airworthiness Directives (AD) and Instructions for Continuing Airworthiness (ICA).
  • The candidate will work in accordance with the Aer Lingus Configuration And Maintenance Evaluation (CAME) and associated company procedures.
  • Providing Continuous Airworthiness Management Organisation (CAMO) support for A320/A321/A330 series aircraft is a key aspect of this job.
  • Liaising with Original Equipment Manufacturer, National Airworthiness Authorities, Part 21 organisations and other external agencies is also required.

Your Key Skills:

  • Proficient in AMOS.
  • Skilled in MS Office Applications.
  • Able to build and maintain positive working relationships with others at various levels across the department as well as sharing ideas and information.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with high levels of attention to detail.
  • Self-motivated with ability to take initiative and assist colleagues unprompted.
  • Ability to acquire knowledge/skills as the business develops.
  • Hold an aircraft maintenance technical qualification in EASA Part 66 B1 or B2 disciplines, Engineering Degree or National equivalent.
  • Preferably two years working experience in Aircraft Systems engineering.
  • Knowledge of Airbus Technical Documentation.
  • Experience in writing technical work instructions and technical reports.
  • Experience in interpreting Manufacturers Publications.
  • Good understanding of aircraft regulatory requirements.
  • Fluent in English, both written and spoken.
  • Eligible to live and work in the EU.
  • Current unrestricted worldwide passport.
  • Provide three verifiable references.
  • Able to pass a five year security background check.
