Job SummaryThis position involves overseeing the acquisition of materials and equipment for new aircraft streams, ensuring timely delivery and alignment with project goals.
Main Responsibilities- Project Management: Lead project management for new aircraft BFE milestones, guaranteeing on-time delivery to customers.
- Representation: Represent procurement in key meetings, such as ITCMs and FAIs, to align with project objectives.
- Vendor Relationships: Oversee vendor and manufacturer relationships to ensure timely equipment availability and alignment with aircraft delivery schedules.
- Sourcing and Budgeting: Provide leadership in sourcing and budgeting for cabin upgrades and reconfigurations, ensuring financial and operational goals are met.
- Travel: Represent the organisation at industry conferences and milestone meetings, with frequent travel required.
- Negotiations: Drive negotiations and evaluate pricing for critical equipment, ensuring cost efficiency and quality.
- Budget Management: Oversee comprehensive budget management and finalise aircraft accounting, ensuring financial accountability and project success.
- GTAs: Develop and implement General Terms Agreements (GTAs) with suppliers, aligning procurement strategies to meet delivery schedules and budget objectives.
Candidates must possess focus, analytical skills, and resourcefulness, combined with excellent communication and relationship-building abilities. Integrity and high standards of behaviour are essential, representing the organisation transparently and honestly.
- Education: Degree in Business, Engineering, or a related field; equivalent relevant experience also considered.
- Skills: Proficient in IT, with advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint, and familiarity with procurement software advantageous.
- Experience: Minimum 5 years' experience in procurement processes within the aircraft leasing, airline, or MRO sectors.
- Knowledge: Comprehensive understanding of new aircraft Buyer-Furnished Equipment (BFE) milestones and procurement workflows.
- Leadership: Demonstrated success in managing multiple complex projects simultaneously, consistently meeting deadlines and achieving targeted results.
- GTAs: In-depth knowledge of GTAs and ability to enforce supplier deliverables effectively.
- Interpersonal Skills: Excellent interpersonal and collaboration skills, capable of developing and maintaining positive business relationships with multiple stakeholders.
- Travel: Willingsness and ability to travel extensively worldwide.
