About Your Role

  • Installation of central heating boilers, including system and control upgrades is a key responsibility.
  • Heat pump installation and maintenance to retrofit properties is also essential.
  • Oil boiler installation and maintenance requires strong technical skills.
  • Service, repair, and safety inspection of domestic heating appliances must be performed efficiently.
  • Domestic central heating and hot water plumbing systems service and repair is critical.
  • First time diagnosis and repair of heating appliance and system faults demands problem-solving skills.
  • Upgrade and installation of central heating system controls with smart technologies will drive innovation.
  • Electrical safety tests on domestic heating installations require precision.
  • Careful location, installation, and verification of CO alarms to current gas standards ensure workplace safety.
  • A range of testing with Combustion Gas Analysers including room safety must be conducted effectively.
  • Responsibility for all aspects of central heating installation and customer safety is paramount.
  • Documentation generation, organisation, and maintenance as well as regulatory compliance is crucial.
  • Participation in wellbeing, diversity, inclusion, safety, and quality systems is essential.

About You

  • A national craft certificate in plumbing is necessary.
  • Excellent planning and organisational skills are required.
  • Fault finding logic aptitude would be beneficial.
  • A full clean Irish driving license is necessary.
  • Strong interpersonal and customer skills enable effective communication.
  • A positive, safe attitude and approach to work and training activities ensures success.
  • RGII registration may be advantageous.
