We are seeking a highly skilled Chief Oncology Clinical Leader to join our team at Beacon Hospital.
About the Role- This is a unique opportunity for an experienced pharmacist to take on a senior leadership role within our pharmacy department, with a focus on oncology services.
- The successful candidate will be responsible for leading clinical pharmacy services to patients receiving chemotherapy, and will work closely with other hospital departments to ensure seamless care delivery.
- Clinical Leadership: Provide expert clinical pharmacy services to oncology and haemato-oncology services, including personal delivery of expert clinical pharmacy, clinical supervision and mentorship to other pharmacists, and provision of specialist training.
- Aseptic Services: Be responsible for the safe and effective operation of the Aseptic Compounding Unit (ACU), ensuring sterility and stability of final products in line with current Irish, EU, and International standards.
- Quality and Governance: Participate in quality management programmes, undertake regular clinical/technical audits, and lead changes in work procedures, techniques, or technologies.
- Information Technology: Be an expert in the use of chemotherapy E-Prescribing solutions, including training and upkeep of the system.
- Be registered with the Pharmaceutical Society of Ireland.
- Possess a high standard of administrative and managerial ability.
- Have at least 5 years post-registration hospital experience, preferably in Oncology.
