Healthcare Assistant

We are seeking a compassionate and skilled healthcare assistant to join our team. As a healthcare assistant, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care to our clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Providing personal care services to clients, including bathing, dressing, and grooming.
  2. Assisting clients with daily living activities, such as eating, toileting, and mobility.
  3. Providing companionship and social support to clients, including conversation, reading, and entertainment.
  4. Maintaining clients' dignity and respect by promoting their independence and autonomy.
  5. Providing end of life care, including palliative care and bereavement support.
  6. Delivering dementia care, including managing behavioral symptoms and supporting clients' cognitive function.

Requirements:

  • Personal experience and willingness to work towards QQI Level 5
  • QQI Level 5 modules / Care Skills and Care of the Older Person
  • Having your own transport is an advantage
