Job Opportunity: Environmental Management Expert

As an Environmental Management Expert, you will play a key role in shaping our projects and collaborating with clients and design teams across the UK.

The Environment Practice leads the way in innovation, transformation, and digital on the path to Net Zero. You will lead environmental management integration across various sectors, including Aviation, Defence, Energy, Cities & Development, Education, Rail, and Water.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Coordinate and deliver environmental work undertaken by multi-disciplinary teams, including Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA), options appraisals, and environmental management.
  • Champion high standards of environmental performance within multidisciplinary engineering projects, influencing project development and delivering optimal environmental outcomes.
  • Collate and edit information from various sources to provide clear, well-written reports.
  • Manage client needs in a confident, professional manner and communicate effectively with stakeholders.
  • Lead and support bid preparation and develop new areas of business for the team.
  • Undertake Continual Professional Development in accordance with requirements of chosen professional institute.
Requirements:
  • Degree or Masters in an environmental or science subject, with Chartership from a relevant institution.
  • Substantial relevant post-graduate experience, preferably within a consultancy environment.
  • Experience working on linear infrastructure projects would be beneficial.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of the EIA process and environmental technical specialisms.
  • Leadership experience within multidisciplinary teams.
  • Strong report writing, verbal, and presentation skills, as well as the ability to review the work of others to ensure quality.
