Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Environmental Compliance and Permitting Specialist to join our team. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting the growth and continued success of our environmental permitting business.

The specialist will provide environmental compliance and permitting support across all industry sectors, through a combination of global framework agreements and site-specific commissions.

The ideal candidate will have demonstrable experience in an industrial or consultancy role, with a strong track record in delivering environmental permitting compliance services and preparing associated documentation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver environmental permit applications, variations, transfers, and surrenders for various clients across the UK and Ireland.
  • Conduct environmental risk assessments to identify potential environmental impacts and risks.
  • Develop and implement mitigation measures and management plans to minimize impacts and enhance performance.
  • Advise clients on implications of legislation, regulatory guidance, and Best Available Techniques (BAT).
  • Ensure client compliance with relevant environmental legislation, best practice, and BAT standards.
  • Support clients in regulator and stakeholder engagement.
Requirements
  • A base first degree or equivalent qualification in an engineering or science discipline.
  • Demonstrable experience in an industrial or consultancy role.
  • A strong track record in successfully delivering environmental permitting compliance services and preparing associated documentation.
  • Extensive working knowledge of relevant national and European environmental legislation.
  • Excellent report writing, technical reviewing, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team across a range of projects, including those with tight deadlines.
