Environmental Professional Opportunity
About the Role:This position involves working as a key team member to drive our organization's commitment to sustainability and environmental stewardship. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining and continually developing our Environmental Management System (EMS) to ISO 14001 standards.
The role requires coordinating and supporting Environmental Working Groups (EWGs), identifying, implementing, and maintaining solutions to ensure compliance and continuously improve environmental performance in areas such as waste, water, air, and energy.
An effective internal audit/inspection regime and facilitation of external/third-party audits and inspections are also essential responsibilities. The individual will evaluate and manage environmental performance of contractors, engage with stakeholders to maintain and develop ESG/sustainability programs, and develop and deliver training on environmental topics as needed.
Key Requirements:- Primary degree in Environmental/Sustainability or related discipline.
- Working experience, knowledge, and understanding of environmental management systems (ISO 14001).
- Understanding of sustainability and its application to business and industry.
- At least 2 years of experience in an environmental/sustainability role.
- IT literacy, including proficiency in Word, Excel, PowerPoint as a minimum.
