Job Title: Environmental Sustainability Lead

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to join our team as an Environmental Sustainability Lead. As a key member of our organization, you will play a crucial role in accelerating our transition to a more sustainable business.


Key Responsibilities
  1. Manage interfaces with various specialists on site, including ecologists, arborists, archaeologists, and invasive species specialists.
  2. Drive internal continuous improvement through expertise and knowledge of ISO14001 compliance and assurance.
  3. Support project teams in achieving sustainability targets and ensure execution of environmental compliance to ISO14001.
  4. Provide specialist environmental sustainability advice and lead management reviews.

Requirements
  • A proven track record of delivering environmental improvements within the sector and across associated trades.
  • Advanced knowledge of ISO14001 compliance and assurance, along with key environmental aspects.
  • A good working knowledge of key strategy aspects, including decarbonisation, circular economy, climate adaptation, and biodiversity.
  • The ability to promote awareness and support delivery of these strategies.
  • Full membership and/or chartership with a relevant professional institution.
  • A good knowledge and preferably experience of environmental certification/assessment tools, such as BREEAM, LEED, WELL, and NABERs.
