This permanent opportunity is seeking an experienced Health and Safety Advisor to join a Construction company in Dublin. The successful candidate will be responsible for promoting a positive Health and Safety culture across the workplace, ensuring compliance with safety legislation, and adopting and adhering to health, safety, and environmental policies.
Responsibilities- Develop and implement effective Health and Safety strategies to minimize risk and ensure a safe working environment.
- Conduct regular site inspections and audits to monitor performance and identify areas for improvement.
- Assist with external audits and inspections, providing guidance and support as needed.
- Deliver training programs to promote a strong Health and Safety culture, including toolbox talks and monthly HSE meetings.
- Liaise with external stakeholders on behalf of the business at relevant forums, attend industry events, and provide updates on Health and Safety matters.
- Maintain accurate records and draw up reports/risk assessments for management, recommending corrective actions where necessary.
- Degree-level qualification in Health and Safety or a relevant equivalent qualification with experience in the field.
- Minimum 4+ years' experience in a similar EHS role within the construction industry.
- Knowledge of Health and Safety Legislation, Standards, and Best Practice in the construction industry in Ireland.
- Knowledge and experience of Safety and Quality Management Systems.
- Expert knowledge of Health and Safety statutory requirements, systems, and processes.
- Full clean driver's license and ability to commute throughout Ireland on occasion for work commitments.
- Safe Pass certification.
- NeeBOSH Construction certificate.
- Recognized First Aid at Work qualification.
