Job Title: Manufacturing Engineer - Product Operations Graduate Programme

This is a unique opportunity for a motivated and ambitious graduate to join our team in the role of Manufacturing Engineer - Product Operations Graduate Programme. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing manufacturing engineering support to Product Operations in Cork and at EMEIA Distribution Centre locations.

The position will require the individual to design, commission, and qualify semi-automated and automated fixturing. Additionally, they will provide support and leadership in achieving World Class Manufacturing, Safety, Quality, Customer Service, and Cost standards through continuous process improvement activities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and Commissioning: Design, commission, and qualify semi-automated and automated fixturing to meet production requirements.
  • New Product Introductions: Support New Product Introductions across several product lines, ensuring seamless integration into existing production processes.
  • Process Improvement: Drive cycle time improvement, line balancing, line design, yield improvement, and scrap reduction initiatives to optimize production efficiency.
Requirements:
  • A degree in Mechanical, Industrial, Mechatronics, or Biomedical Engineering or equivalent, completed in 2025 or later.
  • A minimum of a 2.1 (Hons) degree is required.
  • Exposure to lean manufacturing principles including 5S, WCM, Standard Work, and TPM.
  • A strong sense of urgency and customer orientation.
  • Experience in engineering, manufacturing operations automation.
  • Computer-literate with experience of appropriate simulation and CAD packages.
  • Excellent communication and documentation skills.
  • Good analytical, data analysis, and problem-solving skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Six sigma quality training would be an advantage.
