Cardiology Registrar

We are hiring a Cardiology Registrar for a Hospital in Dublin, Ireland.

  • Assist with cardiology procedures in the cardiac catheterization lab under the direction of a consultant cardiologist.
  • Oversee the pre- and post-procedure care of cardiac day ward patients.
  • Screen and assess cardiac patients that arrive at Accident and Emergency while keeping an eye on Cardiology SHOs and admitting those who require admission.
  • Join consultants on rounds.
  • Monitor Cardiology SHOs during their ward duties and report any concerns to the consultant.
  • Assume clinical responsibility for interns and SHOs who are junior NCHDs.
  • Participate in research and audits.
  • Support education by participating in tutorials and teaching sessions for coworkers, undergraduate medical students, and staff.
  • Contribute to technical advancements related to patient management and services.
  • Preserve and improve Beacon Hospital's reputation by implementing quality standards and ensuring high-quality services.
  • Maintain safe working conditions and adhere to health and safety regulations.
Requirements:
  • Irish Medical Council Registration Certificate (MRCPI/MRCP) or equivalent.
  • Experience as a registrar in an acute hospital setting, preferably in cardiology.
  • Ability to contribute effectively to a team.
  • Skillful communication.
  • Current ACLS certification.
