Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled telecommunications professional to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in commissioning and supporting telecommunications infrastructure and services.

The WAN Program Delivery team is responsible for providing critical operational telecom networks needed to deliver communication systems required to control distribution, transmission and generation systems.

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Commissioning and supporting telecommunications infrastructure and services.
  • Diagnostics, troubleshooting and problem-solving of system faults and failures.
  • Maintaining a strong safety, quality, and performance culture.
  • Promoting innovation and knowledge sharing within the team.
  • Attending on-site for fault and project-based activities.
  • Assisting with preparation of technical specifications, supplier tenders and work on tender evaluations.
  • Assisting with preparation of solution designs for telecommunications systems and infrastructure for subsequent deployment.
  • Assisting with preparation of project documentation, including capital approvals, customer proposals and solution designs.
  • Preparing health and safety documentation relevant to your work area.
  • Managing and coordinating various telecommunications contractors.
  • Recording 'as built' records for deployed services and systems.
  • Ensuring professional, timely and productive communication with all stakeholders for all faults, project works and technical queries.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • At least 5 years relevant experience.
  • Third-level qualification or equivalent work experience.
  • Extensive experience with point-to-point and point-to-multipoint microwave links, including frequency planning, link budgeting, and path profiling.
