Job Title:

Chief Engineer

Key Responsibilities:
  • Ensure compliance with Safety Policy and Safety Management Systems within area of responsibility.
  • Manage and supervise continuing airworthiness activities to meet EU Regulation and TM-CAD standards.
  • Notify Director of Engineering and Accountable Manager of any deficiencies requiring attention.
  • Maintain aircraft in airworthy condition to meet operational requirements.
  • Communicate with TM-CAD regarding airworthiness and mandatory occurrence reporting.
  • Revised and submit the CAME and amendments to TM-CAD for approval.
  • Coordinate actions on airworthiness occurrences and initiate investigations as needed.
  • Assess subcontractors and maintenance providers for compliance with regulations and contracts.
  • Ensure aircraft are maintained by approved organizations according to the maintenance program.
  • Ensure compliance with procedures and standards during maintenance activities.
  • Perform competency assessments as required.
  • Respond to compliance deficiencies identified in audits.
  • Review, maintain, and analyze Approved Maintenance Programme for effectiveness.
  • Oversee development and implementation of maintenance and reliability programs.
  • Participate in safety review boards and safety action groups.
  • Conduct safety risk assessments and manage change processes per Part-CAMO.
  • Implement preventative actions to maintain SACA ratio.
  • Ensure ADs and SBs are correctly implemented and reviewed on a risk basis.
Requirements:
  • At least 5 years relevant experience, including minimum 2 years in the aeronautical industry in similar role.
  • Knowledge Human Factors principles and Safety Management Systems.
  • Practical experience aviation safety standards and practices.
  • Relevant engineering degree or aircraft maintenance technician qualification, with additional acceptable education.
