Semi-Senior Accountant Position

We are seeking an experienced Semi-Senior Accountant to join our team in Cork. The ideal candidate will have strong technical accounting, tax, and audit knowledge.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare financial statements, management accounts, and tax returns for a diverse client portfolio.
  • Assist in audits from planning to finalization, ensuring compliance with accounting standards.
  • Mentor and support trainee accountants and junior staff, providing guidance and reviewing work.
  • Build client relationships, addressing queries and providing advice.
  • Contribute to process improvements and maintain efficiency in service delivery.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Apart from ACCA/ACA/CIMA qualifications, experience mentoring or supervising junior staff is essential.
  • Proficiency in accounting software such as Sage, Xero, QuickBooks, and Microsoft Excel is required.
  • Strong communication, organisational, and time management skills are necessary for this role.
  • Client-facing experience with the ability to provide clear, actionable advice is expected.
