Our client is a leading Centre of Excellence in vaccine production, employing over 1000 people worldwide. They seek an experienced Upstream MS&T Scientist to join their dynamic team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and execute upstream activities for scale-down model establishments, satellite runs, and investigation/improvement studies in the MS&T lab.
  • Support the transfer of new products into the MS&T laboratory.
  • Provide upstream specialist support to the site and network for non-routine analysis and troubleshooting.
  • Develop and implement experimental design, execution, data analysis, and interpretation through Design of Experiments (DOEs).
  • Author and review standard operating procedures and technical reports.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams for process improvement and troubleshooting.
  • Apply Lean SixSigma and Change Management tools effectively within the MS&T lab team.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor of Science, Master of Science, or PhD in a scientific discipline such as biotechnology, biochemistry, pharmacy, process engineering, or equivalent, with extensive relevant experience.
  • Technical expertise in biologics drug substance upstream operations, analytical testing, process development, and tech transfer.
  • Proven ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Logical thinking and proactive approach under pressure.
  • Effective communication with deep technical expertise in science.
  • Organizational skills with ability to manage multiple priorities and escalate issues when necessary.
