Job Overview

This role involves overseeing the maintenance of a hotel environment to ensure optimal functionality, presentation, and safety.

Main Responsibilities
  • Plan and coordinate all major and minor repair works in compliance with current health and safety legislation.
  • Oversee external contractors and service providers to guarantee value for money.
  • Maintain equipment and systems including HVAC, plumbing, lighting, and electrical infrastructure.
  • Coordinate painting, decoration, and upkeep of hotel areas, guest rooms, public spaces, kitchens, and back-of-house.
  • Supervise preventative and reactive maintenance tasks such as painting, tiling, plumbing, carpentry, and electrical work.
  • Ensure cleanliness and order in external and back areas.
  • Guarantee timely completion of maintenance requests and repairs.
Requirements
  • Experience working in a hotel or similar environment within a Maintenance Department.
  • Maintenance Manager or supervisory experience preferred.
  • Qualifications in one or more trades such as plumbing, electrical work, or construction are desirable.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure.
  • Full-time availability and flexibility to work varied shifts, weekends, and holidays.
  • Excellent English communication skills.
  • Knowledge of health & safety and compliance standards.

Preferred Qualifications:
A qualification in a trade such as plumbing, electrical work, or construction is highly beneficial for this position.

The ideal candidate must possess excellent problem-solving skills and be able to work well under pressure. Full-time availability and flexibility to work varied shifts are essential for this role.
