Job Overview

The Construction Piping Supervisor plays a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth execution of piping installation activities at the construction site. This includes overseeing and coordinating all aspects of the project, from fabrication to hydrotesting and flushing.

This critical position requires strong leadership skills, technical expertise, and attention to detail. The supervisor must be able to interpret complex piping isometric drawings, P&IDs, and material specifications to ensure that work is performed according to design, specifications, and project standards.

  • Supervise daily piping construction activities including fabrication, installation, hydrotesting, and flushing.
  • Interpret piping isometric drawings, P&IDs, and material specifications.
  • Ensure work is performed according to design, specifications, and project standards.
  • Monitor and verify contractor and subcontractor work quality and progress.
  • Coordinate with QA/QC, HSE, Planning, and Engineering departments.
  • Ensure proper handling and storage of piping materials and equipment.
  • Manage and track manpower, tools, and materials on site.
  • Conduct and participate in daily toolbox talks and safety meetings.
  • Prepare and submit daily progress reports, inspection requests, and site instructions.
  • Ensure compliance with all HSE regulations and promote a strong safety culture.
  • Resolve technical or site-related issues in coordination with engineering or project team.
Required Qualifications

To be successful in this role, candidates should possess:

  • A third-level qualification in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
  • At least 7 years of experience in piping construction, including 2 years in a supervisory capacity.
  • Strong knowledge of piping systems, welding techniques, and construction standards.
  • Familiarity with isometrics, P&IDs, and piping material specifications.
  • Understanding of hydrotest packages and pre-commissioning activities.
