Senior Software Engineer Opportunity

The PlayStation data platform is seeking a highly skilled Senior Software Engineer to join our team. As a key member of the Data Platform team, you will play a critical role in building cutting-edge systems that power PlayStation's data-driven features.

Our ideal candidate has 5+ years of experience building and scaling distributed systems, with deep expertise in cloud-based development (AWS required; GCP a plus). You should be proficient in at least one language: Scala, Java, or Python.

Responsibilities:

  • Design, build, document, and deploy large-scale data platforms that optimize performance and scalability across PlayStation systems.
  • Collaborate with product managers and stakeholders to translate requirements into scalable technical solutions.
  • Build and maintain highly available, performant cloud-native data platforms, optimized for cost and scalability.

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of experience building and scaling distributed systems.
  • Deep experience with cloud-based development (AWS required; GCP a plus).
  • Expertise in at least one language: Scala, Java, or Python.
  • Proven track record of building data platforms from the ground up, including ingesting and processing structured, semi-structured, and unstructured data.
