
Manufacturing Quality Assurance Specialist

This senior role supports the launch of our European manufacturing site, working closely with R&D, Supplier Quality and Operations Engineering to ensure timely project deliverables.
The ideal candidate will be part of the Receiving Inspection team, focusing on process improvements, sampling plans, inspection equipment selection and qualification, and fixture design development.
Key Responsibilities:
- Evaluate and improve inspection methods and processes in the Receiving Inspection Department.
- Develop and implement sampling plans and related procedures with Quality Engineers and Supplier Quality Engineers.
- Design and develop fixtures for measuring component parts in Receiving Inspection.
- Develop inspection processes for complex and high-volume components, ensuring measurement accuracy and precision through testing and analysis.
- Create and conduct measurement capability assessments (i.e. Gage Repeatability and Reproducibility).
- Test strategies and conduct process/equipment/measurement method qualifications and validations.
- Plan, manage and prioritize tasks/projects, track progress towards overall goals and provide periodic updates to management.
- Evaluate and determine cause for measurement variation and lead tasks associated with measurement variations.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- A Bachelor's Degree in a technical discipline, or equivalent experience.
- Prior experience in inspection engineering or a related field is preferred.
- Proficiency with CAD software tools, such as SolidWorks, and Microsoft Office products is desirable.
- Geometric dimensioning and Tolerancing, and reading mechanical drawings are essential skills.
- Ability to work independently, maintain timelines, transfer technology and execute projects in an R&D and GMP manufacturing environment is required.
