We are seeking a qualified Actuary to support our actuarial function team based in Dublin. The primary responsibilities of the team include supporting the sign-off of Solvency II results, reviewing best estimate bases for non-economic assumptions, and providing annual opinions on Technical Provisions and Underwriting.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Solvency II
    • Coordinate the evaluation of Solvency II results, monitor their progress, and oversee general coordination of governance and sign-off of calculations.
    • Support the Head of Actuarial Function in producing the annual Actuarial Opinion on Technical Provisions (AOTP) and the Actuarial Report on Technical Provisions (ARTP)
  • Basis and Methodology
    • Assist the Head of Actuarial Function in producing the annual Underwriting Opinion.
    • Review proposals for new initiatives, pricing, and product development updates as well as regular product and pricing reviews.
  • Underwriting & Pricing
    • Support the Head of Actuarial Function in producing the annual Underwriting Opinion.
    • Participate in reviewing proposals for new initiatives, pricing, and product development updates as well as regular product and pricing reviews.
  • Other Role Requirements
    • Collaborate with the Head of Actuarial Function in performing regulatory duties, including ongoing relationships with relevant authorities and issue resolution processes under intra-group reinsurance agreements.
    • Maintain internal relationships within the organization (Finance and Risk functions) as well as the Life Actuarial and Life Finance functions within the group.

The ideal candidate will have excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, be able to work effectively in a team environment, and possess strong communication skills.

Experience with Solvency II and technical provisions is highly desirable.
