Job Title: Communications Officer

About the Role:

We are seeking a skilled and experienced professional to manage and coordinate communications for our Development and Alumni Office (DARO) and Maynooth University Foundation. The successful candidate will work closely with all relevant staff to develop effective communication strategies and implement proactive print and digital communication plans that align with the University's strategic objectives.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and execute comprehensive communication plans to engage alumni and stakeholders;
  • Collaborate with the DARO team, External Relations Office, and University colleagues to achieve strategic goals;
  • Play a key role in stakeholder engagement and relationship-building;
  • Manage and maintain accurate records of communications activities and outcomes.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Communications, Marketing, or a related field;
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in a similar role;
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills;
  • Proven ability to work independently and as part of a team;
  • Aptitude for using digital tools and technologies to enhance communication efforts.
