
Community Support Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Senior Care Professional to join our team in Kilcullen, Kildare.
This is a full-time permanent position that offers unique, person-centred care that transforms lives.
Our client works across 12 residential communities and 4-day services nationwide, providing support for people with physical / intellectual disabilities, autism, and other support needs to live an ordinary life.
The successful candidate will have a minimum of a Level 7 on the QQI Framework – BA in Social Care Studies or equivalent qualification in Health or Social Care.
Requirements:
- Hold a minimum of a Level 7 on the QQI Framework – BA in Social Care Studies or equivalent qualification in Health or Social Care.
- Have 1 year's experience of working with vulnerable adults or adults with intellectual disabilities.
- Experience working with challenging behaviours.
- Strong working knowledge of legislation in place to protect vulnerable adults.
- Applicants must hold a full, clean manual driver's license and availability of own car for this post.
- An understanding of current policy and developments at national and sectoral level in relation to Social Care within disability services.
- An ability to follow, evaluate and contribute to the further development of plans and methods to meet the ongoing needs of individuals supported.
- Effective interpersonal and communication (verbal and written) skills.
- Proficient IT skills relevant to the role, to include Microsoft Office Excel, Word, SharePoint, OneDrive and Teams.
