Role OverviewThe role of the Finance Director involves leading and growing a successful SME accounting and advisory team. The ideal candidate will have ACA/ACCA/CPA qualification with 5+ years PQE in practice, strong knowledge of Irish tax, accounting, and auditing standards, proven leadership and team development experience, as well as excellent communication, planning, and problem-solving skills.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the SME Accounting & Advisory team to achieve monthly billing targets and ensure quality standards.
  • Manage workflow, KPIs, and team development to drive growth and success.
  • Oversee statutory accounts, audits, management accounts, and tax returns for clients.
  • Deliver ad-hoc advisory projects that meet client needs and expectations.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and stakeholders.

Requirements

  • ACA/ACCA/CPA qualification with 5+ years PQE in practice.
  • Strong knowledge of Irish tax, accounting, and auditing standards.
  • Proven leadership and team development experience.
  • Excellent communication, planning, and problem-solving skills.
