Job Summary

The Cartels Division is responsible for conducting criminal and administrative competition law investigations. This role involves progressing investigations concerning serious competition offences, such as price-fixing, bid-rigging, and market sharing.

The ideal candidate will have a competition law and/or investigative background and play a key role in the detection and assessment of cartel behaviour.

About the Role

This Senior Investigator position is part of the Investigations & Enforcement Section of the Cartels Division. The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting administrative and criminal investigations into potential breaches of competition law.

The role requires establishing initial investigative steps, driving forward assigned cases, and conducting investigative tasks while maintaining a complete file of matters completed.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conducting administrative and criminal investigations into potential breaches of competition law
  • Establishing initial investigative steps and driving forward assigned cases
  • Maintaining a complete file of matters completed and records of research done and any evidence obtained
  • Availing of investigation tools including Requirement for Information (RFIs), witness interviews, voluntary cautioned interviews, summons procedures, and search operations
  • Representing the organisation at national and international fora and conferences, as required
