Building Fabric Team Lead

As a Building Fabric Supervisor, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the seamless and safe delivery of works across our facilities management contracts.
- Team Supervision: Oversee operatives, subcontractors, and daily work activities on-site.
- Health & Safety Leadership: Deliver site inductions, safety briefings, and toolbox talks; identify and manage safety hazards.
- Site Compliance: Ensure site rules, welfare facilities, and safety standards are in place and maintained.
- Quality Assurance: Conduct regular site inspections to ensure compliance with legal and company standards.
- Project Support: Assist the Operations Manager in assessing potential works and planning work programs.
- Reporting & Communication: Prepare site reports and updates for the Operations Manager; attend site management meetings.
- Procurement & Logistics Coordination: Help procure and coordinate the delivery of materials, plant, and equipment.
- Problem Solving: Identify issues, raise safety concerns appropriately, and implement improvements.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Organize and support external inspections with clients and internal SHEQ teams.
- Team Collaboration: Work closely with Operations and Contracts Managers as part of a professional, solutions-focused team.
The ideal candidate will possess:
- Minimum 5 years experience in a supervision role.
- Relevant construction-based qualifications.
- Good technical knowledge.
- Experience of supervision/mentoring of other operatives/apprentices.
- Trustworthy and approachable, with excellent communication skills.
- Organised and proactive, able to manage multiple tasks and teams.
- Client-focused, with a commitment to delivering outstanding service.
- Flexible and dependable, with a positive, can-do attitude.
- Valid CSR Card, demonstrating health and safety awareness on construction sites.
- Desirable criteria include H&S Supervision Qualification (e.g., IOSH/NEBOSH/Advanced level CSR), IPAF 3 A/3 B Certification, and PASMA Combined Certification.
