Steel Detailer Job Description

We are currently recruiting a steel detailer for a leading fabrication company. The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating detailed 3D models of steel structures using Tekla Structures software.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Create technical drawings and models for use in all aspects of production, including programming, fabrication, welding, assembly and site installation.
  • Execute detailed drawings of jobs that will go into the fabrication process.
  • Ensure all drawings are created in line with client requirements.
  • Liaise with clients and client representatives to ensure all jobs are completed to specifications provided with corresponding sign-off attained.
  • Work with the site survey and site installation team to ensure all jobs are completed as per client requirements.
  • Conduct clash detection and resolve technical issues.
  • Coordinate with project teams to meet deadlines.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Minimum of two years' experience specifically with Tekla software.
  • Relevant qualification in architectural technology or engineering stream.
  • Must have fibre laser programming experience.

  • This is a full-time, permanent position with the option of remote working if required.
