Technical Project Manager Job Opportunity

This is a key role within the organization that will commence soon, subject to approval. As the Technical Project Manager, you will play a crucial part in the technical design authority for the transmission system.

The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that technical queries are handled efficiently, projects meet requirements, and developments are commissioned in accordance with standards.

You will have the opportunity to work on a variety of projects, including those related to substation design and construction. You will also have the chance to develop your skills and expertise in areas such as project management, team leadership, and client relationship building.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Ensure technical queries are handled in accordance with TSO standards and policies
  • Review and compare submitted detailed designs against functional requirements and outline designs
  • Monitor construction progress and onsite inspection to ensure compliance with standards
  • Ensure developments are commissioned to comply with requirements
  • Verify transmission system requirements are met to allow commissioning tests to proceed
Your Qualifications and Experience:
  • Educated to degree level in Electrical Engineering or equivalent
  • Minimum 10 years experience post-graduate in Transmission Substation design
  • Digitally savvy with strong client relationship building skills
  • Leadership and project management experience in the Energy sector
  • Commercial and financial acumen
  • Membership of RICS, CIOB, APM, ICE or equivalent professional body
