Job Overview
COPE Galway is a leading provider of social services in Galway, committed to empowering individuals and families affected by homelessness. We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Project Worker to join our team.

About the Role
The successful candidate will be responsible for providing practical assistance and support to vulnerable members of our community. This will involve conducting assessments, sourcing and securing accommodation, and working with clients to address their complex needs. As part of our dynamic team, you will have the opportunity to develop your skills and contribute to the delivery of high-quality services.

Key Responsibilities
* Process referrals and conduct assessments in a professional and sensitive manner
* Work intensively with clients to source and secure accommodation
* Provide practical support and assistance to clients, including accessing local services such as medical, welfare, training, education, and employment
* Assist clients with health, safety, and general welfare
* Engage with clients to facilitate access to a broad range of services aimed at integrating them into the community

Requirements
* Minimum 2 years' experience working with vulnerable communities
* Recognised third-level qualification in social care or related field, or CORU registered social care worker
* Commitment to COPE Galway's Vision, Mission, and Values
* Understanding of homelessness and complex client needs
* Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills
* Good written and oral communication and IT skills
