Electrical/Automation Specialist

The role of the Electrical/Automation Specialist involves designing electrical control systems and instrumentation for power generation and energy systems. This includes developing detailed schematics, diagrams, and technical documentation.

The ideal candidate will possess a Level 8 Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent and 3+ years' experience in electrical or automation engineering. Knowledge of process instrumentation and wiring, as well as experience with control networks and communications systems (Profibus, Modbus, DeviceNet), is highly desirable.

The successful candidate will work collaboratively, demonstrate excellent problem-solving and diagnostic skills, and be able to complete tasks independently. They will also be able to prioritize and coordinate work, exhibit excellent customer service, interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills, and be able to multitask and work well under pressure.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Designing electrical control systems and instrumentation for power generation and energy systems.
  • Developing detailed schematics, diagrams, and technical documentation.
  • Creating drawings, wiring schematics, lists, and data sheets using AutoCAD and EPLAN.
  • Developing PLC and SCADA software for control and monitoring systems.
  • Overseeing the installation of control systems and instrumentation equipment.
  • Collaborating with technicians and contractors to ensure proper implementation.
  • Conducting Factory and Site Acceptance Testing.
  • Commissioning control systems in the field.
