Job Description

As a skilled automation specialist, you will be responsible for maintaining high-quality equipment to ensure consistent output and yield. This involves systematic root cause problem solving and troubleshooting to resolve issues in a timely manner.

Responsibilities:

  • ">
  • Maintain automation equipment in excellent condition.">
  • Perform preventative and corrective maintenance.">
  • Complete associated paperwork and records.">
  • Lead process improvements to achieve more efficient operations.">
  • Assist with commissioning new equipment or projects.">
  • Order and maintain stock of spare parts.">
  • Cross train technicians as required.">

Required Skills and Qualifications

">

Previous relevant experience within the industry is essential. A minimum Level 6 qualification in Manufacturing Technology, Mechanical/Automation Engineering, Electrical, Electronics, Mechatronics, or qualified trade personnel is also required.

A strong understanding of industrial/manufacturing environments and experience in high-volume automation/robotics are necessary. Good communication and influencing skills are also required.

Ability to work under own initiative and availability to work shift patterns are must-haves.

Desirable Skills and Qualifications

">

Experience in Pneumatics, Electronics, Hydraulics, Programmable Controllers, Servo Motor drives, Vision systems, Ultrasonic welding, workshop machining would be advantageous.

Understanding of Process Capability and Measurement System Analysis (MSA) & Gauge Repeatability and Reproducibility (GR&R) would also be beneficial.
