Quality Control Specialist

As a Quality Control Specialist, you will oversee the movement and storage of quality control samples within our facilities. This role involves maintaining the chain of custody of samples and ensuring adherence to effective procedures.
This position requires working varied shifts, including days and nights.
- Collecting data and verifying test results for accuracy and compliance with standards
- Reviewing test results and reporting any quality anomalies to management
- Maintaining accurate records and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements
- Participating in ongoing training activities to enhance skills and knowledge
- Verifying laboratory supplies and ordering as necessary
- Prepping samples for shipment and ensuring proper documentation
- Utilizing Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS) for tracking samples and transactions
- Managing sample inventory for QC testing and disposal
- Monitoring controlled temperature units and maintenance schedules
- Verifying instrument calibration prior to use
- Developing and revising work instructions and SOPs
- Compiling test records and reviewing data for trends and improvements
- Collaborating with external customers or functional peer groups
- Designing and implementing new analytical methods and techniques
- Assisting with method validation
Successful candidates will thrive in fast-paced environments, have a keen eye for detail, and be able to effectively communicate with various teams.
A Bachelor's degree in Life Sciences or a related field is required.
