Healthcare Support Worker

At our institution, we require an experienced and skilled professional to join our team of dedicated healthcare assistants. Our ideal candidate will be able to assist patients with bathing, dressing, and grooming in a caring and empathetic manner.
Key Responsibilities:- Supporting patients with personal care needs, including oral hygiene and denture care.
- Providing assistance with walking, transferring from bed to wheelchair, and positioning in bed.
- Encouraging and aiding patients in exercises and mobility activities as directed by healthcare professionals.
- Assisting patients with eating and drinking, and monitoring food and fluid intake.
- Providing incontinence care and changing bed linens as necessary.
- Assisting with preparation and maintenance of medical equipment.
- Sterilizing instruments and ensuring proper storage.
- Supporting nurses and doctors during examinations and procedures.
- Providing assistance in wound care and dressing changes.
- Maintaining accurate patient records.
- Adhering to protocols and following hospital policies, procedures, and protocols.
Requirements:
- A compassionate and patient nature.
- Minimum 6 months experience as HCA in a nursing home or hospital.
- The right to work in Ireland.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Access to a vehicle is preferred but not essential.
- A good understanding of the Irish healthcare system and care.
