The role of a Day Activities Facilitator is to develop and deliver schemes of work and learning programmes in line with national guidelines.
- Plan, prepare and deliver programmes to a range of classes, ensuring suitability for individual needs and abilities.
- Encourage, monitor and record progress of individuals, devising and adapting resources as needed.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of subject areas, new resources and methods.
Develop and implement schemes of work and learning programmes that meet the needs of individuals supported by the service.
- Plan and deliver engaging and effective programmes that promote personal growth and development.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to ensure seamless delivery of services.
- Ensure that all interactions with individuals are respectful, empathetic and person-centred.
To be successful in this role, you will require:
- Relevant qualification or experience working with people with intellectual disabilities.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal and teamwork skills.
- Able to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information discreetly.
