Our ideal candidate will be a hands-on professional with experience in data centre operations, IT infrastructure and network support. They will possess skills in server BIOS configuration, diagnostics, and deployment. Additionally, they will have knowledge of structured cabling, patching, rack mounting, and hardware setup.
The successful candidate will work independently to manage vendors and perform physical work on site. They will also be responsible for ensuring GMP compliance and collaborating with project, validation, and IS teams. To succeed in this role, the individual must have a solid understanding of network fundamentals (TCP/IP, VLANs, segmentation) and familiarity with GMP environments or pharmaceutical site infrastructure standards.
Responsibilities include performing daily hands-on support in the existing data centre, including server racking, cabling, hardware checks, and basic diagnostics. The candidate will also support the physical deployment of network and infrastructure components at the new site and 4 IDF/VDER areas. Other duties may include installing, configuring, and troubleshooting network switches, wireless access points, and structured cabling systems.
A key requirement for this role is previous experience in BIOS configuration and data centre hardware deployment, as well as involvement in new builds or construction-related IT setups. This position combines physical infrastructure work with practical support in a dynamic, regulated setting.
