Job Title: Electrical & Instrumentation Technician

Project Location: Midlands and North Leinster

About the Job

We are seeking a highly skilled Electrical & Instrumentation Technician to join our Automation & Operations Department. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years of electrical experience in an electrical & instrumentation role and be proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel. Experience within the Water / Wastewater industry is highly desirable.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Inspect and maintain PLC based electrical control systems and instrumentation on site.
  • Diagnose and repair faults in mains power connections, power generators MCC's, transformers, motor starters VSDs & DOLs, electric actuators, and instrumentation.
  • Commission electrical equipment on site.
  • Coordinate with operations personnel to ensure compliance with project requirements.
  • Conduct fault diagnostics and modifications to existing electrical control and automation systems.
  • Monitor and optimize instrumentation, PLC's, and electrical control systems.
  • Prepare technical specifications and supervise sub-contractors.
  • Check electrical and instrumentation control panel wiring schematics.
  • Evaluate and ensure all electrical and instrumentation installations meet relevant standards.
  • Perform duties in accordance with company procedures while maintaining proper health and safety protocols.
