Job Title: ALS Service Coordinator

We are seeking a skilled and organized individual to play a vital role in ensuring high-quality person-centered services. As an ALS Service Coordinator, you will be responsible for scheduling and matching member requirements with existing Personal Assistant staff, sourcing relief, and setting up new services from referral to commencement.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Schedule and coordinate services to meet member needs
  • Match members with suitable Personal Assistant staff and source relief as needed
  • Set up new services from referral to commencement, including coordination with staff and resources
  • Monitor and evaluate service delivery to ensure high quality and continuity
  • Recruit, select, train, and develop staff to provide effective services
  • Implement efficient staff rosters to manage absences, leave, and training gaps
  • Maintain regular contact with members and staff to ensure seamless service delivery
  • Ensure Health & Safety standards and practices are upheld, including risk assessments
  • Support the development of Personal Assistant support meetings

Requirements:

  • Minimum qualification at QQI Level 6 or higher, such as Supervisory Management Skills, BA in Social Care, Allied Health, Community Development, Disability, Business Management
  • Experience in scheduling and monitoring/evaluating services is essential
  • At least 1 year of previous experience in a similar role is highly desirable
  • Experience working with people with disabilities is highly desirable
  • Knowledge and skills in community-based disability services are required
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills must be demonstrated
  • Strong planning and organizational skills, ability to prioritize commitments, and manage time effectively are required
  • Ability to make operational decisions and good problem-solving skills are essential
  • Excellent IT skills, including knowledge of CRM and/or People Planner, are a must
