About the Role

As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for identifying and securing new business opportunities in Ireland. This involves developing strong relationships with prospective clients and showcasing the value proposition of our digital credit card and payments solution.

The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in sales and/or business development within the fintech or financial services industries. They will possess a solid understanding of the financial technology landscape, including credit, lending, and B2B payments.

We are seeking a strategic thinker who can work autonomously in a fast-paced startup environment. The successful candidate will be self-motivated and goal-oriented, with excellent communication and negotiation skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Customer Acquisition & Retention: Identify, engage, and build strong relationships with key prospects across Ireland.
  • Convert leads into customers, while managing and nurturing long-term client relationships to maximise retention and satisfaction.
  • Pipeline Management: Oversee the full sales cycle from prospecting and qualification to negotiation and closing.
  • Ensure you follow a structured, efficient process and consistently achieve targets.
  • Thought Leadership: Serve as a market expert for our brand, representing us at industry events, networking opportunities, and client meetings.
  • Market Understanding: Stay up to date with the latest developments in the Irish fintech & travel landscape, competitors' offerings, and customer needs.
  • Go-To-Market Strategy: You are working to further expand the Irish market share and helping define our local strategy as well as shape the product for specific market needs.
  • Collaboration & Reporting: Work closely with sales, growth and revops teams to ensure alignment with business goals.
  • Regularly report progress, insights, and results to senior management.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience (3-5+ years) in a sales and/or business development role within the fintech, SaaS, or financial services industries
  • A solid understanding of the financial technology landscape, as well as the underpinnings of credit, lending, and B2B payments
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with stakeholders at all levels
  • Experience in launching and scaling products or services in new markets, ideally within the Irish market.
  • Strategic thinker with a hands-on approach to problem-solving and customer acquisition
  • Self-motivated and goal-oriented, with the ability to work autonomously in a fast-paced startup environment
  • Strong analytical and reporting skills, with the ability to assess market opportunities and identify key growth levers
  • A strong network within the Irish travel industry is a plus
  • Fluency in English (written and spoken) is required
