Cloud Infrastructure Strategist Position

We are seeking an experienced cloud professional to lead our cloud operations team in Dublin, Ireland.

  • Team Leadership: Manage and mentor a team of cloud engineers and DevOps professionals, fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and innovation.
  • Cloud Operations Management: Oversee day-to-day operations of AWS environments, ensuring performance, scalability, security, and cost efficiency.
  • Vendor Oversight: Manage third-party providers and ensure compliance with Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and operational expectations.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with Project Management Office (PMO), QA, application development teams, and business stakeholders to support end-to-end cloud infrastructure needs.
  • Process Optimization: Identify and implement automation opportunities and process improvements to enhance operational efficiency and reliability.
  • Performance Reporting: Develop and maintain KPIs to monitor infrastructure performance, uptime, incident response, and cloud cost management.

Requirements:

  • Cloud Expertise: Proven experience managing large-scale AWS environments, with deep knowledge of core services such as EC2, RDS, Lambda, CloudWatch, S3, and IAM.
  • Leadership: 5+ years of experience leading infrastructure or cloud operations teams, including remote/offshore personnel.
  • Project & Risk Management: Proficient in managing complex projects, identifying risks, and developing mitigation strategies.
  • Communication Skills: Strong written and verbal communication abilities, with a knack for translating technical topics into business-relevant language.
  • Innovation-Driven: Passion for leveraging modern tools and practices to streamline cloud operations.
