Project Planner Role Summary
">Job DescriptionWe are seeking an experienced Project Planner to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing, managing and maintaining project schedules to ensure timely delivery of construction projects within budget and quality parameters.
The Project Planner will collaborate with project teams, subcontractors and clients to optimise project timelines and resource allocation while minimising risks and delays. Key responsibilities include:
- Developing and maintaining detailed project schedules using industry-standard scheduling software
- Tracking and updating project progress against the baseline schedule
- Working collaboratively with project managers, site teams and subcontractors to gather and validate schedule-related data
- Preparing and delivering detailed reports such as Gantt charts, S-curves and project dashboards for stakeholders
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Proficiency in scheduling software (e.g. Primavera P6, MS Project)
- Strong understanding of construction methods, sequencing and resource management
- Knowledge of key project management principles (e.g. critical path method, earned value analysis)
- Ability to assess complex data and identify trends, bottlenecks and opportunities
- Attention to detail with a focus on accuracy in schedules and reports
- Strong written and verbal communication skills to effectively convey information to diverse stakeholders
- Team-oriented approach with the ability to build strong working relationships
- Proactive approach to resolving scheduling conflicts and project delays
