Green Energy Professional

The Green Energy Professional will play a key role in supporting the project development team with green field development, acquisitions, business case analysis and project pipeline management.

  • Assist in the planning, execution and delivery of our solar and wind portfolio at all stages of development from site evaluation through to pre-construction;
  • Build relationships with landowners to secure land (heads/option/lease agreements);
  • Liaise with external consultants – technical and environmental;
  • Engage with the technical team on potential site layouts and initial yield assessment;
  • Co-ordinate with the renewables project team on land, planning and stakeholder engagement issues;
  • Progress grid applications with internal technical support and engage with relevant distribution network operators;
  • Report on project progress, both through written status reports and presentations at project approval meetings;
  • Attend and expand professional networks at workshops and industry events.
Essential Skills and Qualifications
  • Creative problem solver with an ability to find pragmatic solutions;
  • Organised and able to manage multiple projects and stakeholders simultaneously;
  • Ability to translate complex analysis into actionable recommendations;
  • Active listener that demonstrates understanding and values others' viewpoints;
  • Structured thinker with excellent analytical skills;
  • A team player, willing to provide support to colleagues across functions;
  • Two to three years' experience working in a similar capacity within the energy or a relatable industry;
  • Excellent communication skills, including presentation, report writing and document preparation;
  • Strong commercial acumen and research competencies for assessing new business models and key value drivers;
  • Building strong, collaborative relationships with cross-functional teams involved in delivering projects;
  • Possession of a clean driving license;
  • Right to work in the EU/Ireland.
